As the rug market evolved, B2B customers demanded more control in their rug designs, in order to better serve their own clients. Jaipur Living’s rug patterns are world-reknown and their designers can fully customize sizes and shapes to best fit their clients’ spaces. To empower client designers even further, Jaipur knew color customization would have to be their next offering. Jaipur partnered with Magecom to develop a robust, online product configurator to leverage real-time data in support of operational workflows.

As the need for color customization and advanced product configuration became clear to Jaipur Living, they knew they needed to move quickly, but also wisely and effectively to ensure a smooth rollout and positive ROI.

Our solution

Magecom blueprinted and implemented a custom rug configurator within Adobe Commerce Cloud that let designers color-select across multiple pattern layers to see mockups of their designs in real time.

The seamless interface and personalized experience of color-selection drove engagement and loyalty among Jaipur’s B2B client designers, while adding differentiated value to the customers and end users they serve, creating a real win-win-win.

The configurator was custom integrated with Jaipur’s product and inventory workflows for efficiency and scalability.

Workflow optimization

The challenge

Beyond the seamless client experience on the frontend, the color configurator needed to integrate with multiple operational workflows.

Our solution

Magecom implemented several features to improve operational processes including an SVG file upload & layer separation functionality. The feature allows rug designs to be uploaded, processed, and divided into the layers that form the technical basis for a flexible and precise customization process.

A custom PDF download feature generates PDF downloads so designers can easily share their custom designs with clients and colleagues before placing an order, streamlining the design approval process.

And system triggers sending automated emails containing custom rug specifications ensured visibility throughout the process to both customers and internal teams.
